The Deer Grove Unpaved "Mountain" Bike Trail -
Photos 1

The is one of the entrances to the unpaved "yellow" trail, the longest DG West
unpaved loop (5.4 miles) just west of the Quentin Road entrance... The sign on the
right is a "Yield to Horses" sign which is typical for both the paved and
unpaved sections.

You can see the trail marker sign here (on the left), and the opening to Quentin Road in
the distance.

Here's the trail marker at the intersection of the "black"
paved trail (they call this paved section, in DG west, the "black" trail
(although there is another unpaved "black" section too)) and "yellow"
unpaved trail...

After a short trip through some woods, you must cross the Forest Preserve road. There is a
map on the sign on the other side. Most people will recognize this from when you first
drive into Deer Grove West from Quentin road.

This is going down the path after the Forest Preserve road. It's a
little rocky and rutty here... but that is pretty typical for a lot of the DG unpaved
trails.
