Here's the intersection of the Des Plaines River
Trail and the North Shore Trail towards the western end of the trail.
The trail does continue further west from this point but I have not been on that
section and, of course, do not have photos of it.

This is the intersection of the North Shore Trail and the Old School trail (I think)
where we started our 7/4/2006 trip (most of the photos are from this trip). We may have
actually taken another connecting trail to get from the Old School trail to here...
Here you can see how the trail runs parallel to Route 176 and is pretty close to the
road in most places.
