Dam!
We got lucky here and rode on this section right while this
freight train came blasting by!!! It is pretty awesome riding
right alongside this extremely noisy freight train!
Sure I love a nice quite and peaceful ride out in the woods and
all... but the trains don't come by all that often and it can be
an exciting change to the usual peace and quite...
NOTE: The pictures in this section are still in order
going north along the FRT, but I took these while heading south
so they are looking back (south) at this point. I wanted to keep
the photo pages all going in the same direction so I reversed
the order of the photos in this section...
There are some really nice wooded and winding parts of the trail
here... Dale has named this part "Hill Heaven" (in contract to
the "Hill Hell" much further north on the trail (north of
Crystal lake, I believe)
