On a recent trip to Johnson Health Tech, in Madison Wisconsin, I had a chance to review the Livestrong LS9.9IC (the original Livestrong Bike) and to go over the construction and features of this bike with the Exercise Bike Product Specialist at Johnson (Johnson Health Tech makes the Livestrong bikes and fitness equipment).
I had ridden the LS9.9IC, prior to my trip to Johnson Fitness, so I had already known how comfortable, stable, quiet and smooth the LS9.9IC is. What I did not fully appreciate were the many features and options (some obvious and others more subtle) that contribute to the overall quality of this Indoor Cycle.
The engineers at Livestrong start with the corrosion-resistant Commercial Grade Frame and heavy duty components plus you get the quieter and lower maintenance Kevlar Belt Drive system.
The next important feature for any Indoor Cycle is adjustability. The sliding adjustment mechanism on the seat is sturdy, easy to use, and gives you Infinite Horizontal and Vertical Seat Adjustments (there are no preset holes with pins to adjust and tighten).
The traditional "W" shaped handlebars give you plenty of riding positions and are adjustable vertically plus the pedals include straps as well as toe clips.
And, of course, for us cyclists that love to monitor our stats and progress, the Electronic Console which gives you the ability to monitor RPM, time, distance and KCal through 3 separate LED windows.
The Livestrong LS9.9IC is our Best Buy recommendation for a high quality and affordable Indoor Cycle / Spin Bike with plenty of extras.

High Quality Product and a great cause. I've been riding road bike for about 4 years, but I really do hate riding in the cold weather. I'm not a pro, nor do I compete other than my nightly group rides. However, I do love to ride for the fitness, and the way it makes my body feel afterward.
This bike is the perfect equipment for me, as it keeps track of distance, calories, and cadence. In addition, the quality with which this bike is manufactured is exceptional at any price.
It's very easy to assemble, and you know what? It looks great in my house!!
I would easily recommend this to riders of all skills and types. I'm 6'2", and it's perfect for me and my 5'3" wife.
