Schwinn Voyager GS Review

On a recent trip to Performance Bike, I had the opportunity to review the Schwinn Voyager GS Bike and to talk to a very knowledgeable sales person about comfort and hybrid bikes and specifically about the Voyager GS.

When I asked flat out "What is the best hybrid/comfort bike in the store", the Performance guy told me that it was the Schwinn Voyager GS and after reviewing this bike and testing the components, I would have to agree.

Schwinn calls this bike a "Bike Path" bike, which I would consider either a hybrid or a comfort bike. This bike can handle touring and distance rides, comfortably, as well as paved, crushed stone, grass or dirt bike trails.

The Voyager GS has a nicely padded seat, front and rear suspension (shock absorbers) ergonomic handlebar grips with grip shifters (not levers), high quality components and a comfortable frame design. Mens and Womens models are available.

Hybrid and comfort bikes, including theSchwinn Voyager GS are an excellent choice for casual and comfortable bike rides as well as an occasional longer distance (bike path or touring) ride.

Hybrid and Comfort Bike Comparisons:

You can find some cheaper brands of comfort bikes (at Wal-Mart for example) but you will usually "get what you pay for" and will not be able to find the same quality as you will get with the Voyager GS for the same (or slightly higher) price.
